White Rose Credit Union Team Gives Back During United Way Day of Action

York, PA – White Rose Credit Union employees proudly joined volunteers from across York County for the 2026 United Way Day of Action, dedicating their time and talents to support local nonprofit organizations and strengthen the community we serve. The event, held on June 26th, brought together businesses, community leaders, and volunteers with a shared commitment to making a meaningful local impact.

Throughout the day, White Rose Credit Union team members volunteered at several organizations across the county, including Shadowfax Corporation, Community Progress Council, Leg Up Farm, Fiber Arts and Textile Center, and Community Connections for Children. Each location provided unique opportunities for hands-on service, allowing our employees to contribute to projects that support the important work these organizations do every day.

From assisting with facility improvement projects to helping organizations prepare spaces that serve community members, our volunteers embraced the opportunity to give back and make a difference. These efforts not only supported local nonprofits but also reinforced the cooperative values that are at the heart of White Rose Credit Union’s mission. One volunteer group assisted with painting a new art space at Shadowfax, helping create a welcoming environment for those who utilize the organization’s services.

“At White Rose Credit Union, we believe in the credit union philosophy of people helping people,” said Bryan C. Smith, CEO/President. “Events like United Way Day of Action allow our team to step outside the office, work alongside community partners, and make a positive impact on the organizations that do so much for York County. We are proud of our employees for their commitment to service and volunteerism.”

Volunteerism remains a cornerstone of White Rose Credit Union’s community commitment. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations, WRCU continues to support initiatives that improve quality of life and strengthen the communities where our members live and work.

White Rose Credit Union extends its sincere thanks to United Way of York County for organizing this impactful event and to the nonprofit organizations that welcomed our volunteers. We are honored to play a small role in supporting their missions and look forward to continuing our efforts to serve and strengthen our community.
