White Rose Credit Union Wraps Up the Year with Meaningful Community Impact Across York County

York, PA – White Rose Credit Union continued its longstanding commitment to community support and service throughout the month of December, participating in several charitable initiatives that brought warmth, nourishment, and joy to families and individuals across York County.

As part of our holiday outreach, WRCU proudly partnered with the YWCA’s Adopt‑A‑Family program, providing gifts and essential items to a local family to help ensure a brighter and more joyful holiday season. Our team also visited the York County Youth Development Center (YDC), where employees served lunch and distributed goodie bags to the children, offering comfort and connection during a meaningful time of year.

In addition, WRCU branches hosted an in‑branch winter drive benefiting the YDC, collecting hats, gloves, and scarves to help ensure local youth had the warm essentials needed during the cold winter months. Our commitment to fighting food insecurity continued as well, with members and staff contributing 59 pounds of canned goods to the York County Food Bank.

Through our Jeans for a Reason program, employees raised $341 for JFAR (Just for a Reason) and an additional $341 for the York County Food Bank, further supporting the essential services these organizations provide throughout the region.

“December is a time for giving, and we are proud to stand alongside our community partners to make a meaningful impact,” said Bryan C. Smith, CEO/President. “From supporting families and youth to helping address hunger and winter needs, our team remains committed to uplifting the communities we serve.”

White Rose Credit Union extends heartfelt thanks to our members, employees, and community partners whose generosity made these initiatives possible. We look forward to continuing our mission of service and strengthening the York County community in the year ahea
