White Rose Credit Union proudly participated in Give Local York 2025 with a series of creative and impactful fundraising efforts that underscored our commitment to community engagement and charitable giving. Through a combination of grassroots initiatives and strategic sponsorship, the credit union helped empower local nonprofits and inspire generosity across York County.
The Give Local York Candy Bar Fundraiser was a standout success, with 1,858 candy bars sold across White Rose Credit Union branches. This initiative raised $1,507.64 in support of Give Local York, while an additional $331.58 contributed through the Jeans for a Reason program. Together, these contributions totaled $1,839.22, demonstrating how small, everyday actions can come together to create meaningful impact for the community.
In addition to fundraising, White Rose Credit Union served as the 2025 Stephanie Seaton Memorial Scholarship Sponsor for Give Local York. This sponsorship covered the entry fees for ten local nonprofits, enabling them to participate in the region’s largest day of giving. The sponsored organizations included Barshinger Creek Preservation Alliance, Heart Sing Horse Journeys, Harlow’s Haven Cat Rescue, Chasing the Rainbows, 4 Paws 4 a Cause, Coats of Friendship, See More Good Foundation, York County Village Association, Watershed Alliance of York and Bro2Go. Each of these nonprofits plays a vital role in strengthening the fabric of the community, and White Rose Credit Union is honored to support their missions.
These efforts reflect White Rose Credit Union’s ongoing dedication to making a difference, one candy bar, one pair of jeans and one nonprofit at a time.
