Suresh WRCU scholarship winner

White Rose Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Scholarship Program, awarding two exceptional students, Suresh Venkataraman and Rilee Gladfelter with $1,000 each to support their college education. These scholarships reflect White Rose Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to empowering young members through education.

The Scholarship Program is open to members in good standing who are graduating high school seniors or full-time college students. Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievements, school and community involvement, career goals, and a credit union-themed essay. This year’s winners excelled in dedication, leadership, and thoughtful reflections on the credit union philosophy.

“Suresh and Rilee impressed us not only with their academic accomplishments, but with their commitment to service, leadership, and the cooperative values that credit unions stand for,” said James Sanford, Chair of the Scholarship Committee. “They each brought a thoughtful, personal perspective to their essays that really resonated with our committee. Supporting students like them is one way we invest in the future of our communities.”

Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship, with funds sent directly to their chosen college or university. White Rose Credit Union encourages families to open youth savings accounts as a way to promote financial literacy and financial well-being.
