White Rose Credit Union Awards Teacher Grants to Support Innovative Classroom Projects

York, PA – White Rose Credit Union  announces the two recipients of its Teacher Grant Program, which funds local educators to enhance classroom learning and engagement. Each winner will receive a $250 grant to support innovative projects during the 2025–26 academic year.

The Teacher Grant Program reflects White Rose Credit Union’s commitment to empowering educators in York and Adams counties by providing resources to expand instruction and create equitable opportunities for students. Teachers may use the funds for classroom initiatives such as purchasing supplies, refreshing learning spaces, or launching projects that promote student achievement.

Dallastown Middle School’s Laura Maxwell will use her grant as Academic Intervention Specialist to purchase sensory tools and flexible seating, creating a supportive classroom environment for students needing extra academic help. “These items will help my students feel comfortable, reduce stress and anxiety, and build confidence in their learning,” Maxwell shared.

Commercial & Advertising Art program teacher Paul Thom at Red Lion Area Senior High School will use the grant to purchase a desktop printer for Graphic Design students. This addition will allow students to print their work quickly and independently, giving them tangible examples of their digital creations. “This printer empowers my students to proudly display their work to friends, family, and schoolmates while learning real-world print production methods,” Thom explained.

Through these grants, White Rose Credit Union champions educators who bring creativity and innovation to the classroom. “We are proud to support local educators who create meaningful learning experiences for their students,” said Bryan C. Smith, CEO/President. “Our Teacher Grant Program provides the support for teachers to help their ideas shine and create opportunities for students to thrive.”

The Teacher Grant Program is now closed for this academic year, but will open back up in Spring 2026. Learn more about the program and future opportunities at https://www.whiterosecu.com/teacher-grant-program/
