White Rose “Gives Local” Through Give Local York

York, PA – White Rose Credit Union was thrilled to help support Give Local York this year as the event helps to raise funds for local non-profit organizations across York County.
Give Local York is a 24-hour giving day, hosted by the White Rose Leadership Institute designed to support nonprofit organizations and growing philanthropy in York, Pennsylvania. The event takes place on the first Friday in May.
White Rose Credit Union was the Give Local York Scholarship Sponsor for 2022, covering the registration fees for various organizations to take part in the event.
In addition to the scholarship funding, the credit union held a Jeans for a Reason Campaign throughout the month of April, along with candy bar sales to raise additional donations. Employees were also presented the opportunity to give online during the event.
Altogether, White Rose Credit Union contributed $2,450, and an additional $320 from direct employee donations, totaling $2,770.
The 24-hour Give Local York event ended up raising over 4 million dollars in a record-breaking year.
